A few questions all in one?

as a secular christian humanist i believe that jesus was a humanist and he is an example to the whole of mankind. am i right?

there is no such thing as an afterlife, its all made up to scare people. am i right?

as sigmund freuad says in his book religion was invented to curb human hysteria, and i believe him. am i right?

when working in dubai i met a muslim lady who had the same thinking as meself. we became lovers. she tells me jokingly that allah gave muhommed a revelation to decree that all muslim women should shave their pubic hair.

A few questions all in one?

I can't believe people actually try to answer your questions seriously. But, just in case you are "looking" for answers.....NO, you are not right on any count.

1.If Jesus was a humanist, he did us all a very big disservice by declaring himself the Son of God.

2.Why would an afterlife be scary, only when looked at from a heaven/hell point of view, but if ALL people went to some sort of blissful place, then it doesn't scare anyone. Besides, it's scarier to think this is the ONLY shot we have, we mess it up then....to bad?

3.If you believe in Sigmund, then you have issues with your mommy, and should probably seek therapy.

As for the chic from Dubai, you never told us if she shaved or not, and if you were lovers, you should know.

jesus is an example to the whole of mankind an i think ur right ther is no afterlife if ther was id b in hell haha

A few questions all in one?

i DO BELIEVE RELIGION WAS INVENTED TO CURB HUMAN HYSTERIA. its the primative form of law and order. The best way to control people is to scare them. "Christianity in medieval England was basically saying if you dont do this then you will go to hell"

A few questions all in one?

Do you believe in Jesus? because he came back proving an afterlife.

A few questions all in one?

Secular Christian humanist is an oxymoron. You can be a Christian and be a secular humanist at the same time. Religion and Christianity are not the same thing.

A few questions all in one?

first off... everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

as regards to Jesus being a humanist - as a Roman Catholic, I would say that I agree with this view as far as the desciption of being a humanist is as follows, "a doctrine, attitude, or way of life centered on human interests or values; stresses an individual's dignity and worth and capacity for self-realization through reason" and "humanitarian: a person promoting human welfare and social reform" [extracted from: Meriam-Webster.com]

as regards to belief in afterlife - I choose to believe that there is one. Some people use the thought of an afterlife to scare people, while others use it to motivate people into enriching the life that they have and the lives of the people around them.

Sigmund Freud was right to believe that Religion was invented - because human beings created the concept of religion. You may choose to believe Dr. Freud, it is your choice.
