My mom really thinks there is something wrong with her. Also her nose keeps running off and on. We just gave her a new bone that she never had ate before. It could be that she is indeed scared. Going to the groomers can be a very traumatic experience for some dogs.

a dogs body temp normally is 106 degrees, if she has a new hair cut she is probally cold keep her warm and watch her, hold her for an extended period of time, if she stops she is just cold.. if not see a vet..

A dogs normal body temp is NOT 106 degrees. In fact it is a lot lower than that. A normal body temp is around 100.5 to 102. It varies to a little more than 102. At 106 degrees I would be treating a dog for a heat stroke!

Has she ever been to that particular groomer before? Where I used to work (vet's office) we had some people bring in their schnauzer after a groomng visit because he "just wasn't acting right"--shaking, hiding, etc. Did physical exam, bloodwork and x-rays--nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Just seemed scared, kept hiding in the back of the cage %26amp; was nervous about us touching him, but never showed any signs of pain. The vet told the people that she couldn't find anything physically wrong, which is sometimes worse than being told it's something minor and it's fixable.

They came back the next day because the dog had a "bruise". Well, the whole side of the dog was bruised, as if he had fallen hard on his side!!! The vet showed them the x-rays and assured them that no bones were broken. Perhaps a fall off the grooming table? (I was wondering if someone slammed him down on the table, but that's just me...) They confronted the groomer who said, "It didn't happen here; they must have done it at the vet's office."

I'm not saying that anything like that happened to your dog, but it's one scenario.

Sometimes grooming salons can be noisy and hectic--blow dryer, clippers, people yelling over the dryers, etc. Maybe your dog was just overwhelmed by the experience and will be back to herself in a day or two.

Just give her lots of love and take her into the vet's as soon as possible to put you mind at ease. Also, if it was me, I'd take away the new bone--could be something in there that isn't agreeing with her.

Good luck--keep us posted.

My dog (god bless her soul) would get the shakes after a haircut sometimes. (usually when it's on the coolish side) Your dog's probably just cold. I'd keep an eye on her anyways though, and take her to the vet when you get the chance. Better safe than sorry.
