Here's a good question?

Say you have a couple. The man is white (of Northern European descent whose parents were immigrants to America), while the woman is the child of a WASP father and a biracial (black/white) mother.

Both have light colored skin, straight/wavy light hair (father blonde, mother's brown) and light eyes (blue/green). However, when they have a baby, the baby inherits his African great grandmother's skin color from his mother's side.

In other words, the baby is very dark skinned, with kinky hair and dark eyes and is 100% related to his parents (meaning no there wasn't any cheating and no one else except the man is his father).

So what is he, black or white?

(please no "human" answers because I already know we are all human. i'm talking in terms of "ethnic race").

Here's a good question?

Very good illustration to prove a point. The terms black and white were whipped up in our racist American society. Let's

change the African american and black to Indian(India)

whose skin is also black. A dark Indian. NOw answer the

question would the child be black? Skin color would certainly

be the same. Would this be rationalized by a one drop

rule also, or is it a racist term used only referring to

people of African decent only? I think this answers the ??

Here's a good question?

black is beautiful baby.

Here's a good question?

umpa umpa umpidy do

Here's a good question?

oreo

Here's a good question?

Black.

Here's a good question?

The kid could be called black but truly he's not. He's biracial. That's the in between that no one can ever figure out. Like Mariah Carey....

Here's a good question?

Ethnic? He would be American.

Here's a good question?

Contact Tiger Woods, To be honest, my brothers kids are half black and white of half black and white, damn, 4 good looking kids though, they appear to look more malado than white...

Here's a good question?

I guess it would be whatever the child "claims" to be but more than likely he would be considered black. Look at Halle Berry and Barack Obama they are half black/white but they identify themselves as black.

Here's a good question?

The child is biracial. But if you want to get technical the kid would be black because it has taken the characteristics of the parent with the dominant genes.

Here's a good question?

I'd say the child is 7/8ths caucasian and 1/8th black or whatever the correct name for it is

Here's a good question?

With America being "the melting pot" of the world my ethenticy is as follows: part-american (of course), part slovak and part italian.

Now my kids are: all of the above (cause I carried 'em) and also part irish, part pennsylvanian dutch %26amp; part romanian jew.

Our heritage is important and we all get more blended as generations go...

however, your question is "is he black or white"? is a color question. Black and white are not definitive of ethnic backgrounds.

I would say that child is lucky to have such a rich heritage and such a variety as a part of him!

Here's a good question?

You know, you really got me on this one.Alot of other misguided people will say black because of the one drop rule and the baby's appearance but this is still very confusing.Race based on skin color and ancestry is very unreliable and is determined by a society.Americans will say black but what about everyone else?

Here's a good question?

disz eazi, hed b a half cast, meanin half white half blak, since he gt both hs mothers genes n da fathers genes, even if his fathers genes were recessive, hes stil a half-cast

Here's a good question?

The real question is why does it matter to you???? You seem to be focused on appearance....race is not based on perception but genetics.

Here's a good question?

the child is dark skinned, in the eyes of most black, to me most likely black. but once i see the family background, i will say other.

in a perfect world there would be no issue of race. ya know. human race. lol. oh well. no perfection.

Here's a good question?

umm what is kinky hair? you realize thats rude correct? that baby is stil considered bi-racial.
