My friend and I are pretty close. Except... we had talked about doing something fun w/ her hair this summer--she's never dyed it so we were thinking about tinting it. I said it would be fun but didn't push it... one day she randomly said 'okay we'll do it this summer' but it sounded like a commitment.
well i mentioned it recently and she flat out said 'we're not doing it'... of course i wondered why and she said, 'they said no'... i replied, 'who's they'... her answer was hair dressers, parents etc. well i am a human lie detecter and this was pure bullshit. honestly, why couldn't she tell me the truth, she didn't want to do it anymore? well, the worst part is after talking it over she agreed to do it again and of course i brought up the fact that she 'wasn't allowed'. she responded, 'yah i lied. i wanted to see how far you'd go with it'.... a slimey excuse of why she lied, she 'wanted to see how far i'd go with it'....??? there was an akward silence for a few seconds.what should i do?
Friend problem?
Perhaps she was having second thoughts and didn't want to seem like a wuss in front of you, so she lied. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it becomes more and more of a habit.
