My dog keeps shaking and is acting wierd? Help I need a vet.?

My dog is a brittany spaniel and she is 2.5 (human) years old, and we got her hair cut yesturday, she keeps shaking really bad, like when she does during a storm, and we don't know why. My mom really thinks there is something wrong with her. Also her nose keeps running off and on. We just gave her a new bone that she never had ate before. We really need to know what is wrong with our dog please helpppppppppp. Thanks for answering

And please dont say take her to the vet, because I cant. I wish I could. The shaking is an ocasional activity. She was doing it like two weeks ago, and then she puked twice. It is cold by where her crate is at, but she is not in her crate, just at night, and isnt shaking then. Could she be cold, if she is what should we do?5 minutes ago also she has shook before during a storm, but like she was scared, this is different

My dog shivers a lot as well and sometimes seems real sad but once i start playing with it; it starts to want to run around and stuff. They have their days also.

I am not a vet but an animal lover and pet owner all of my life.

Try to calm her and warm her a bit. Put her in your lap, pet her lovingly, stroke her on the back of her head in the neck area. Continue to do this while talking to her in a soft and calm voice. If something has frightened her, this should calm her down to where she stops shivering.

If she does not stop shivering or as you said, shaking after a few minutes, she might be ill and need to see a vet. You really should move her crate out of the cold area until you find out what is wrong, cold is not good for a small dog and not while they are ill.

You said that she just had a haircut. She may have gotten flea bites while being groomed. Is she allergic to fleas? You might need to ask the vet this. I had a dog who did something similar and found that she was allergic to fleas, she got the fleas at the groomers.

You just gave her a new bone. This may have upset her stomach. After that passes through her system, she should feel better.

Look around where she is usually at. Is there anything on the floor that she might have gotten into like a cleaner or a medicine, does she chew things like carpet or shoes? She might have eaten something unusual that is not agreeing with her.

Since you cannot take her to the vet tonight, check in the phone book in your town for a 24 hour emergency veterinarian clinic. Sometimes if you call them they will help as much as they can without going in. If you can call one, they might be able to ase your mind.
