OUR ancestors, ohhh, say a million years ago, had very hair backs and faces...they were "hominids"...human-like but scary similar to apes...could that be it ya think?

It could do something with remnant DNA from our ancestors. Hair, like all traits is controlled by genes. For people with hairy backs, the gene that controls hair growth is maybe turned on more than others who are less hairy. Our ancestors needed hair to keep warm, so they had genes that made the hair grow all over the body. As we evolved, the genes were turned off and less and less hair grew.

I don't know but recently when I was in Crete there were a lot of tv ads for removing hair both for men %26amp; women, it was scary how hairy some of these people were ...moustachioed ladies with legs like gorilla's and the men had backs and no doubt cracks like same, these ads were about 20 minutes long each time, fascinating but sobering...glad I'm blond and don't have much body hair! Imagine the back, crack %26amp; sac waxing....no don't
