Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

This has been bothering me for a while. We are all the same on the inside, besides the obvious gender differences. We all have blood running through our veins, we all have skin, hair, eyes, limbs, etc. We're all human. It doesnt matter if you live in America, China, India, England, Germany, Australia, Israel, Jordan; being different is what makes the world go around. Think about it, if we were all the same, the world would be a very boring place to live on. So why do people have to bash what other people believe in? It doesnt make any sense at all.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

If theists were content to keep their superstitions to themselves, I would agree with you. However, they (Xians and Muslims, in particular) insist on trying to inculcate their primitive fear-driven customs and ignorance into the laws of the land. At that point, I feel free to bash away.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

its a conflict of interest. some religions spend their time persecuting those who don't believe in a God and some athiests spend their time fighting back.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

...unless you have to live under their laws!

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

Christians believe that I am a corrupt fool who can do no good (Psalms 14:1). So I bash. If they have that verse removed from the Bible, then I'll let up...just a little. I'll never completely let up on all religions until the society I am a part of ceases to be negatively affected by them.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

We don't bash what they believe in, we make fun of adults who cling to childish beliefs.

We bash the horror they perpetrate in the name of their belief.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

People tend to get fanatical about their religious beliefs and some religions make people think that their faith makes them superior (as in saying that all people who don't believe will go to hell.) Religion so often deals in absolutes and people then take a strong, non-budging stance on everything. Then they use their religion to justify their hatred and or intolerance of other beliefs. Religion fanaticism has started more wars and killed more people than anything in the entire history of the world. It's nothing new, and it will never end. It's disgraceful.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

It's all fine until you start forcing your beliefs on others or persecuting them based on your outdated behavior manual.

That's where the bashing starts.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

Because most religions teach that they have the only "right answer", and that all other religions are wrong. This causes people to look down on people of other religions.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

Sometimes the peoples religions are the wrong ones.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

Maybe they are insecure in their own beliefs. I really don't see a point of bashing other people's religions. We are all different people with different beliefs and opinions and we should just accept that we're not all going to view things the same.

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

You know I was thinking the same thing today when I heard that there were religious protestors protesting the funerals and NIU. there was going to be a mass funeral for all those kids who were shot and these ignorant people are protesting them.

I get a lot of crap for my religion. I am Buddhist, and most of my friends are either athiest or Pagan. I tend to get a lot of slack because in my small town any religion besides christian is not accepted.

But ranting about things won't do much. I've noticed that. I've been out there protesting stupid laws and hate crimes and the cruel things that happen in my state, and I have realized that humans will always be this way, one group will always hate another, despite what they say. "love thy neighbor" doesn't matter to anyone anymore, I'm afraid...

I hope some day these questions are fully answered. Or maybe there's be a mass nuclear explosion that will kill off ignorance completely.... but then, what would we have to think about? we would have nothing challenging to thing about when it comes to human behavioralisms, therefore, as you said it, life would be boring.

Personally I'd rather get into an hour long debate about evolution vs creationism than sit there and exchange niceties for an hour, that can really get boring.

good question, by the way. I hope someday that people will learn...

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

It bothers me too a lot..

i think its mainly the insecurity feeling that makes people do so..

If they are strong and fully involved in their faith..may it be anything,i dn't think they will get out to bash anybody else..

we should encourage productive discussion...not bashing...

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

Bashers are the biggest cowards in the world!

They cut down what you believe and don't have a clue as to what to give you to replace it!

So , why bother? I am content with what I believe, and I leave YOU, to yours!

So butt out of Mine!!

Why do people feel the need to bash other people's religions?

All religions are business and war is very good for profits.

They are all the same.
